Our Story

Dreamtime Public Relations was one of the first specialist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communication consultancies established in Australia. We began in 2002 to provide career opportunities in visual communications for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

Over the last 9 years, 22 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people have participated in the Dreamtime Development Program which assists participants to achieve their creative career dreams through employment, work experience, mentoring and support. All have gone on to professional careers in their chosen field and some have won awards as a result of their experience with Dreamtime.

The current team has extensive knowledge and experience in developing culturally appropriate communication strategies and resources for metropolitan, regional, rural, remote and very remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Our national network of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations provides a strong base from which to obtain direction and engage with communities.

Dreamtime embraces a holistic and flexible communications approach. We work with our clients to select the most appropriate activities from our comprehensive range of services to effectively promote key messages.
