Dreamtime Public Relations was a finalist in this year's Telstra Business Awards.
Even though we didn’t win, the most exciting part of the night was seeing every third testimonial on the massive screen dedicated to Dreamtime Public Relations. Thank you to all our wonderful clients and colleagues who took the time to provide those fantastic testimonials (see below).
We’ll be in it to win it next year to ensure we do our clients and the community proud.
Dreamtime was established to provide employment and mentoring to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the production of quality print and online communications. Two equally important objectives were to produce culturally appropriate communications for Indigenous people and to engender an informed understanding of Indigenous people by non-Indigenous people.
Thus far Dreamtime has mentored eleven Indigenous people, some of whom have established careers elsewhere and won awards. “Dreamtime Public Relations is one of very few companies Australia-wide which employs and mentors Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in this profession,” said Janet.
Today, Dreamtime assists in communication between government, companies and Aboriginal communities and Aboriginal businesses. The company specialises in Indigenous public relations, marketing, communications strategy, graphic design, web development, and promotional merchandise.
